There is a new asymmetrical PvP game in the works called Deathgarden, and you can already sign up for a chance to participate in the Deathgarden alpha test when it hits in the future!
Are you a fan of asymmetrical PvP games? If so, this piece of news is for you! According to an email that Death by Beta received yesterday, there is a new asymmetrical PvP game in the works called Deathgarden. Better yet, the Deathgarden alpha registration is now live and waiting for all of you to sign up!
Deathgarden is being brought to us by my fellow Canadians over at Behaviour Interactive out of Montreal. And let me just start by saying that the name of the game along wants to me to try it out! Deathgarden is an asymmetrical PvP game in which one player plays the heavily armed (and armored) Hunter whose mission is to kill everyone else. “Everyone else” means the players in the role of the much more agile Runners whose only goal is to survive and escape. Here is a blurb from the official press release”
“Set in the near future, Deathgarden revolves around a spectacular real blood sport that is the most popular entertainment on the planet, where powerful Hunters prey on agile Runners. In Deathgarden, Players choose to team up as agile Runners or to embody the Hunter, a heavily armed champion whose mission is to kill the runners, preventing them from escaping The Garden – an arena that is different every time.”
It does appear like the Runners do have some form of short bow weapon and so presumably they could work together to combat the Hunter, but I have no idea how effective that will be. Have a look at the official website and check out the announcement trailer posted yesterday for more information.
And speaking of the game’s website, while you are over there I recommend signing up for the Deathgarden alpha test. I didn’t notice any details on when the alpha test will go live, but sign up anyway. Check it out!
