Ironward is developing a new Solstice game, and you can already sign up for a chance to participate in the Solstice Chronicles: MIA closed alpha test!
So about two years ago I talked about The Red Solstice alpha and Kickstarter. That game ultimately went on to a successful Kickstarter campaign (which I myself backed) and a successful launch on Steam. It was and still is a gritty nail biting tactical shooter with point and click controls. Anyway, I bring all of that up because I received an email last night regarding a brand new Solstice game called the Solstice Chronicles: MIA. Even better, the Solstice Chronicles: MIA closed alpha registration is already live and you can sign up for a chance to participate!
Like The Red Solstice, the Solstice Chronicles: MIA is being developed by Ironward over in Croatia. Unlike the original game, the Solstice Chronicles: MIA is a twin stick shooter. This more direct control scheme should serve this new game well. The point and click controls of the first game were sometimes hard to manage given the intensity of the gameplay. From the sound of it, the Solstice Chronicles: MIA will deliver just as much action, with up to 4-player co-op. Check out the gameplay teaser trailer below to get an idea of the gameplay.
If it looks like something you would be interested in then you can head over to the game’s website and register for the Solstice Chronicles: MIA closed alpha. You can also check out the announcement via The Red Solstice Kickstarter updates for a bit more information. Check it out!
