Sign up for the Lazarus beta and help test out this incoming sci-fi MMO rogue-like that resets every week!
Last night I noticed a post over on Rock Paper Shotgun about the new Lazarus rogue-like MMO that is in currently development. Reading over that post revealed some important information: the Lazarus beta starts on August 12 and you can register for it now!
Lazarus from Spilt Milk Studios sounds interesting. In order to save time in explaining, here is the official blurb quoted from the Lazarus website:
“Lazarus is a top-down action-oriented sci fi twist on Groundhog Day where thousands of players survive together in a huge persistent real time world, where dogfights, foraging for resources, and exploring exciting new tech combine into a tumultuous ‘MMO Roguelike’ that turns back in on itself every week like some kind of ultra-futuristic Ouroboros.”
Presumably there is more to it than the clock simply resetting every week. That just sounds like “seasons” that are only a week long. I suppose having the entire game world reset and randomize itself each week would be interesting. Hopefully players don’t get weary of their progress being wiped out on a weekly basis.
Anyway, if you are interested in signing up for the Lazarus beta you can do so over on the game’s website. Check it out!
