OK, I am back from the holiday break finally, so time now to get back to the business of talking about PC game testing. Oh, and happy new year to everyone! Starting off with a bang is CCP and the announcement yesterday that the EVE: Valkyrie alpha test will launch in less than two weeks on January 18! There has been a lot of buzz about EVE: Valkyrie over the past year, and it will be quite something to see this new space combat game in action.
Unfortunately for me, and probably many of you, seeing it action won’t be a first person experience. As many of you probably already know, EVE: Valkyrie is being developed solely for use with Oculus Rift VR technology. EVE: Valkyrie is included with Rift pre-orders, so if you want to grab both together then you can do so. The downside to all of this is that if you don’t own a Rift or have one on pre-order, then the EVE: Valkyrie alpha is going to have to remain out of your reach.
However, for those lucky few that do have access to a Rift the EVE: Valkyrie alpha is a must and thus I recommend that you head over to the alpha registration page and sign up if you haven’t done so already. Get on it!
