A couple of days ago DBB received a message via our Twitter account from Breton Fabrice, the one man show behind the Demetrios Kickstarter that is currently underway. Monsieur Fabrice asked us to check out the Kickstarter and to see if we would mind telling everyone about it considering that there is a Demetrios demo attached to it for everyone to try out. Ask and ye shall…well, you know.
Demetrios from Cowcat (Breton’s one man studio) is a pont’n’click adventure that is very proud of the fact that it is full of cynical humour, which is immediately apparent from the game’s tagline “The Big Cynical Adventure”. Kudos for being transparent and not taking itself too seriously. The game features hand-drawn backdrops and locales that are highly interactive, and you can try to do perform all kinds of wacky actions that can often lead to some funny sequences. Give the trailer below a look to see what I mean. I haven’t yet had a chance to try out the demo myself, but it looks like it could be a fun (and funny) little adventure game.
As I write this, the game’s Kickstarter has already reached its goal, but that doesn’t mean you can’t give the Demetrios demo a go and still help support the game if you like what you see. Also, you can help vote the game in on Steam Greenlight if you are feeling extra helpful. Check it out!
