Close to a year ago we told you about the Jenny LeClue Kickstarter and spent some time describing this rather slick looking adventure game. In fact, I decided to back the game because I thought it would be a great game. And so, as backer, I am ashamed to say that I have been a bit slow to tell you about the Jenny LeClue teaser demo that was released last week. This teaser demo is freely available for everyone to try, even if you didn’t back the game!
As I mentioned last year, Jenny LeClue from Mografi is a story within a story adventure game. Jenny LeClue is the main character in a story written by Arther K. Finklestein. The game is played from the perspective of both of these characters, and what is interesting is that the decisions you make with Arther will affect the story that Jenny experiences. I recommend going back to read my previous post for more details because it is a really great concept.
Or better yet, try the Jenny LeClue teaser demo and see what you think. I played it myself for a bit, and while there is clearly a tonne of work to be done and content to add you can immediately see the atmosphere that Mografi is shooting for. I myself am not disappointed with what I saw in there, and Jenny LeClue has all the markings of a great adventure game thus far.
The demo is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and iOS devices, so chances are you will be able to try to demo no matter who or where you are. You can find all of the download links via the Jenny LeClue website (note: the download link takes you to a donation pop-up, but you can simply click on “No thanks, just take me to the downloads” to skip that) Oh, and if you like what you see then you can still pre-order the game. Enjoy!
